Arts and Crafts Exhibits
2003 was as a very special year for all Armenians in the world. Our church celebrates two important milestones: the 1,700th anniversary of the consecration of the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin and the 1,000th anniversary of the prayer book written by St. Gregory of Narek. The 95 prayers of St. Gregory found in his Book of Prayers - also known as Book of Lamentations - have long been recognized as gems of Christian literature. St. Gregory called his book an "encyclopedia of prayer for all nations."
Our exhibit area honored this historical work and presented a recent translation that beautifully rendered these ancient prayers in English.

Dances
Diana Avedisian (on the right) took on the challenging responsibility of being the ArmeniaFest choreographer in 2003. Diana was fortunate to have a very capable assistance, Rachel Andonian, who worked with the children. Both Diana and Rachel are very talended dancers. Together, they helped prepare our wonderful children and gracious dancers for a delightful performance of Armenian folk dances.
